Dr. Chris McInerney is a lecturer public administration at the University of Limerick. His primary research interests focus on the interactions between the concepts, practices and processes of governance and social inclusion / exclusion, participatory democracy, the role of civil society in social change and the role of public administration in promoting social justice and social equity. He has published chapters and reports on governance, local and community development and has previously worked in a variety of civil society and international organisations.

Dr. Heather Wyatt-Nichol is as an MPA Program Director and Associate Professor in the College of Public Affairs at the University of Baltimore. She serves as a Commissioner for NASPAA’s Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation. She is the Chair for ASPA’s Section on Democracy and Social Justice, Secretary for ASPA’s Section on Women in Public Administration, and President for the Maryland Chapter of ASPA.
Dr. Wyatt-Nichol served as the conference coordinator for the Standing Panel on Social Equity at the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), Ninth Annual Social Equity Leadership Conference held in Baltimore, June 16, 17, and 18, 2010. She developed and disseminated the call for papers; negotiated a location via the competitive bid process; negotiated catering and room requirements; developed a web site; coordinated panel schedules; developed the printed program; on-site conference duties; etc.
